Description
Chivas was started by the two brothers James and John Chivas. After opening a successful emporium in Aberdeen the brothers found success in their new tradition of ageing whiskies beneath their emporium. When their clientele began demanding a smoother, richer whisky experience the brothers delivered and began blending together their aged scotch whiskies. The Chivas 12 is made up of the finest malt and grain Scotch whiskies.
Tasting Notes
With an aromatic infusion of wild herbs, heather, honey and orchard fruits on the nose, the Chivas bursts with the smooth taste of ripe, honeyed apples, with notes of vanilla, hazelnut and butterscotch, creating the generously rich and fruity taste on the palate.
Suggested Recipe: Classic Highball
- 50ml Chivas 12
- 150ml Soda Water
- Orange zest to garnish
– Add Chivas 12 into a highball glass
– Add 100ml of soda, and slowly fill the glass to the top with ice.
– Add remaining soda and stir
– Garnish with orange zest.
